What a fun summer it has been for our Doula Trainers! Many of us have been serving clients, spending quality time with family, and gearing up for jam packed Fall and Spring seasons of Birth Boot Camp Doula Trainings all across the country!
We are so thankful to work in an industry that allows us the flexibility to spend quality time with our families, especially during the summer months! Doula Trainer from Abilene, TX, Hailie Wolfe, took her family on an epic road trip from Texas up to Rapid City, South Dakota to bring on some new Doulas. They traveled to the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks and visited Custer State Park during their time in Rapid City.
“Our family had an amazing time seeing sites we’d only dreamed of! But the highlight of the trip was being able to spend time working with new Birth Boot Camp Doulas! I’m also extremely thankful to have been hosted by Birth Boot Camp’s Founder, Donna Ryan.
Trainees had a blast as well. Mallory McCauley says, “I loved everything about training. The Birth Boot Camp layout is easy to follow and I loved having the in person training after doing the course work. Hailie was amazing and made the class so fun. It was also great getting to connect with the others in training. Birth Boot Camp offers so much support through the entire journey (during training and after certification!). I love our groups that I can refer to for anything birth/pregnancy/business related.”
Doula Trainer, Hollie Hauptly, will be hosting her first doula training later this month in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has had a busy summer of serving clients, teaching childbirth classes, and nesting in preparation of her precious baby boy! We are so excited for her!
February will be another big month for Doula Trainings, Jillian Freeland will be making a huge trip to Guam to bring on doulas in the area. It would also make a fun “vacation” for an aspiring doula who wants to go somewhere amazing for their workshop!
We are so thankful to have Amy Anderson as one of our amazing Trainers! She attended our Birth Boot Camp Retreat and served on a panel during a discussion of VBAC. As a VBAC mom herself, she offers such wonderful perspective and knowledge to new doulas. You should check out her Training coming up in Oklahoma this March!
Trainer, Jen Valencia, is one of the most adventurous women you will ever meet! Not only is she an amazing doula, she’s also an incredible outdoorswoman. Here is a picture from one of her adventures this summer. She’ll be going on a big adventure this Spring when she hosts a Doula Training in Denver, Colorado.
Lead Doula Trainer, Alexa Gumm, is one of the most sought after doulas in Atlanta, Georgia. She has had a BUSY summer serving clients and putting out great information on her YouTube channel. Check out her video on why you should contact a doula when trying to pick a care provider that is right for you.
As Trainers, it is our great joy to support birthing families through mentoring new doulas as they go make a difference in their local communities. We cannot wait to see you at a workshop in 2019!
