Austin, Texas About Me
I found my path to doula work after the birth of my son in 2012, then grew to value the profession even more after my daughter's birth in 2014. The support I received from both my doulas helped me feel respected and empowered in my choices and allowed me to honor each of my birth experiences as they uniquely unfolded. I’ve also worked with families as a professional social worker since 2007 and believe wholeheartedly in the healing power of relationships and empathic support.

I believe as a culture, we must trust women and their bodies. The transformative journey of childbirth and new parenthood should be validated and normalized and I believe emotional preparedness is a critical component in the sacred space of birth and postpartum. My social work background allows me to bring a unique set of skills to your birth and I’m honored to walk alongside you as you navigate the beautiful mess of giving life and raising tiny humans.
My Services
I currently provide birth doula services. Similar to how I approach my role as a social worker, I value empathy, informed consent, social justice, self-determination and respect in my doula practice. I seek to provide support to diverse families, however they come to be. It is my hope to eventually grow my practice to include mental health and postpartum support services.
